Brand

Velox Barchitta

They have been making history in the washing sector since 1929. VELOX BARCHITTA created the first Italian dishwasher. A family business from its very beginning, Velox was the first company to introduce industrial washing in Italy. The company’s founder, Dr Antonino Barchitta, saw in innovation for washing machines a market with room for great development and success. Thus began a cooperation with the Bertolini company of Paris, with which Velox started to develop automatic washing systems. The modular rack model, from 1929, the first result of Velox research, was given to the Vatican as a gift, when Pius XI was pope. Starting with that machine, VELOX has accumulated enough know-how to allow it to launch its products ahead of the new requests of national and international markets. A story that is almost 100 years long, marked by significant innovation milestones. In 1944, the company manufactured the first compact dishwasher, the MICRO VELOX, a veritable revolution at the time.
